Tuna Kuwharuwharu (Long Fin Eel)

This term we have been leaning all about the long fin eel.
Our assembly item was based on the story Velvet and Elvis. This was a story about the migration journey that the longfin eel takes.

I have created 3 different digital learning objects (DLO) to share my learning on this topic.

The first is a poster that I created in my topic book about the challenges to the  long fin eel. Whaea Deb took a photo of my poster.

I created a Longfin Eel life cycle using google drawing.

I have also made a google poster to share five interesting facts about the Longfin Eel.

My Wonderful Reading Video - Long Fin Eel

I felt nervous when I did the video on my blog post.
whaea sharls helped my move my video.
I just lernt to embed my video.

Our Waitangi Trip

Last Tuesday I got to school before the teachers because we were going to Waitangi . when we arrived Whaea Kerry and Whaea  monoka greeted us and took us up three sets of sters. They took us threw the art gallery but I felt weird because it had Antarctica art but I do not know why. As soon as I took a gilmse  of the class I liked the class. I rushed to the colourfol bean bags and turned my brain on ! We had a welcome korero and got stuck in.

Next thing I know katlin is here and she brought some rocks. The green stone was mysterious but the age was 600-700 years old. next we did a unpluged activity and we had to sort out the mixed up cards.

After that we did scratch and had to code our sprite and Eel to move where we wanted it to move with the move blocks and a new sprite to put on my paint 3D  background. After lunch we had a kahoot it was very hard and we had to do it in group. On our way back to the bus we went to the cafe to find the eels but we had to go in groups of 4 then we had a photo and got on the bus and left. I felt sad the day had ended.
